Four Scores Installation:

1. Run "spchapi.exe".
   This Speech Application Programming Interface
   or SAPI is an API developed by Microsoft to
   allow the use of speech recognition and speech
   systhesis within Windows applications.

2. Run "tv_enua.exe".
   This installs the Lernout & Hauspie TruVoice
   Text-to-Speech (TTS) Engine providing speech
   output capabilities for the program.

3. Run "Setup.exe".
   This installs the Four Scores Game.

Four Scores Uninstall can be done by using
the Add/Remove Programs feature of the Control
Panel.
When installing the programs in steps 1 or 2,
you may receive a warning prompt about replacing
a newer file with an older one. Choose not to
replace the newer file.

Program tested with Windows 7, XP and 98. Does not work well in Windows Vista. Game plays best at a screen resolution of 600 X 800 or other 4:3 aspect ratios. Play on wide screen monitors is unpredictable and resolution will have to be set by the user.

Installing in Windows 7 you will get an error as the install
program tries to install a desktop shortcut. Choose to ignore
this error. Run the program in the XP-SP2 compatibility mode.




Playing the game:

1. At the start of the game, two players names
   must be entered to continue.

2. At the start of a new game the "Blue" player
   always goes first.

3. Player must click on "Generate Multipliers" for
   numbers to choose the correct answer for.

4. You will have 20 seconds to pick an answer or
   you will lose you turn.

5. An incorrect answer will cause you to lose your
   turn.

6. A correct answer will put your color in the
   square, if your opponent already has the square
   you will take the square from them.

7. Four squares in a row, across, up-and-down or
   diagonally wins the game. This may include the
   "Free" space".

8. End the game with the "QUIT GAME" buttons.
