FEATURE OF THE CONTROL PANEL.

GAME INSTRUCTIONS IN THE "RULES.TXT"
FILE OR DURING GAME START BY CLICKING
ON THE "RULES" BUTTON.

Program tested with Windows 7, XP and 98. Does not work well in Windows Vista. Game plays best at a screen resolution of 600 X 800 or other 4:3 aspect ratios. Play on wide screen monitors is unpredictable and resolution will have to be set by the user.

Installing in Windows 7 you will get an error as the install
program tries to install a desktop shortcut. Choose to ignore
this error. Run the program in the XP-SP2 compatibility mode.

                           Instructions and Game Play

GETTING STARTED:

1. From the "Start" screen select a game type, multiplication or division and a level of play.
   Novice Level - Gives you five minutes to complete the game.
   Intermadiate Level - Gives you four minutes to complete the game.
   Expert Level - Gives you three minutes to complete the game.

2. To begin game play click on "Play" to go to the game screen.

3. Click on "Cancel" to exit the game at this point.


GAME PLAY:

MULTIPLICATION:

1.  The object of the game is to clear all the numbers from the "Products
Remaining" group at the bottom before time runs out.

2.  Click on "Start" to begin the game and the Timer starts counting down.
The "Start" button will change to "Quit" when clicked. This can be used
to end the game at anytime. You can also press the "Esc" key.

3.  A randomly selected product and multiplier will appear in the equation.

4.  Using the onscreen keypad, click on the correct number to replace the "?" in the equation,then click on the green "GO" to see if it is correct.

5.  A correct answer will earn 200 points and the number will disappear from the "Products Remaining" group, and a new equation will appear.

6.  An incorrect answer will lose you 50 points and the equation will remain
the same until a correct answer is given or you pass on the number.

8.  A number can be passed at anytime clicking on the red "PASS" 
and you will lose 25 points. The number will be moved from the "Products Remaining" group and placed in the "Passed" list.

9.  If there is any time remaining and the "Products Remaing" group is cleared, all items in the "Passed" will return to the "Products Remaining" group for another chance.

10. The game is over when time runs out or you have cleared the "Products Remaining" group and no items are in the "Passed" list.

DIVISION:

1.  The object of the game is to clear all the numbers from the "Dividends
Remaining" group at the bottom before time runs out.

2.  Click on "Start" to begin the game and the Timer starts counting down.
The "Start" button will change to "Quit" when clicked. This can be used
to end the game at anytime. You can also press the "Esc" key.

3.  A randomly selected dividend and divisor will appear in the equation.

4.  Using the onscreen keypad, click on the correct number to replace the "?" in the equation,then click on the green "GO" to see if it is correct.

5.  A correct answer will earn 200 points and the number will disappear from the "Dividends Remaining" group, and a new equation will appear.

6.  An incorrect answer will lose you 50 points and the equation will remain

END OF GAME:

1.  When the game is over if you have any time remaining, you will be awarded 50 bonus points for each second remaining.

2.  If your score is greater than the lowest score on the "Top Ten Scores"
list, you will be invited to enter your initials for placement on the list.

3.  Seperate "Top Ten Scores" lists are maintaned for each game type and
and level of play.

MAINTENANCE OF TOP TEN LISTS:

The "Top Ten Scores" lists can be reset to zero by pressing on the F2 key when the "Start" screen appears. Each game type and level of play may be reset separately or in any combination.
